The heart of summer has arrived. My time of year. Hot, humid and sunny with an occasional thunderstorm. Those thirst quenched garden plants finally looking perky and vibrant again after a summer drenching. I love watching the promise of garden blossoms turning into the beginning of a garden vegetables. My grandson leads me to the garden area every wednesday to seek out the next veggie he can pull and chew on. It’s fun to poke around the vines, looking for a little newly hatched vegetable, tender and sweet enough to satisfy a guy who doesn’t have a full mouth of teeth yet. It’s reminiscent of when I placed my daughter in the pea patch to chew on these tender nuggets while I picked veggies throughout the garden to sell at the market the next day. Nowadays, I rely on the these Farms to supply me with all the veggies I need to create a meal for you.
