In honor of Day of the Dead, a spiritual holiday originating from the central Mexican culture , we will be serving a south of the border style meal. Our red beans w/fire roasted tomatillos from Stick N Stone, Roasted sweet potatoes from Plowbreak Farms, Mushroom Tamales from Wellspring Farms, Kingtown Cider braised red chard with cinnamon from Plowbreak and our fresh farm salad from Remembrance Farms. Our sweets come from the Black Diamond Orchards, Perry City Orchards and Farmer Ground. Everything is as farm fresh as we can get it. Consider each meal that you purchase from us hasn’t traveled half way round the country to get here. In fact most of it was grown within 10 miles of our kitchen. Our squash soup also comes from the abundant Plowbreak Farm fields, miso soup is made from our own miso and fermented from the koji we inoculate in the kitchen. Our talented cooks, Sarah Deljoo, Rachel Williams and Erika Coquehuanca bless each meal with their exquisite palate. As many of you already know, this will be our last year at The Ithaca Farmers Market. In fact this is our last month. Our final market will be on November 23rd. The saturday prior to Thanksgiving. We plan to make our last market a celebration, Thanksgiving style. Menu forthcoming.
