It was really nice to see many of your faces again adorned with with many different styles of masks. It is slowly becoming more of a fashion statement I believe. We have definitely ditched the home made masks for something more durable and colorful. Lately I have purchased masks from Carolina Perez’s etsy account. A local Ithaca Market vendor. She has many colors and designs to choose from. I can wear her masks all day and feel comfortable while I cook and served food. Our masks are popped in the washer and dryer after each shift and still seem resilient enough for another day. The produce this week comes from many of our favorite farms, Plowbreak, Remembrance, Wellspring and Buried Treasures. As always we try to source the freshest ingredients including hiking into the hillside to harvest ramps and glean fresh herbs from our gardens. This might be the last week for harvesting ramps. Some have been pickled, some buried in miso and some dehydrated for a future meal. One last adjustment to this week’s meal. We have taken the salad out of the meal and have instead offered more cooked veggies. We will serve the salad on the side as a salad bowl offering both small and large sizes. As some of you have noticed we also offer additional desserts not offered at our online store. Partially impromptu baking, partially due to the store only being able to offer so many items. We will offer both GF and non-GF options every week. We will maintain a gluten free meal. Our menu for this saturday is listed below. Please order food online so that we will have it ready for you when you come to market. Go to macromamas.com, click market store, click shop. (Shop can be found at the top of the page)
