The last day in September brings us our first delicata squash, our last sweet green beans and basil, crisp juicy apples, Italian prune plums, warming spices, and chilly weather. It feels like autumn, at last! With that heat wave behind us, we can bring you warm, sweet flavors to prepare the body systems for the months to come. Welcome October with steamed delicata squash and sautéed autumn broccolini, alongside a slice of Apple Spice Cake or Plum-Rosemary Tart.
