You might be ready for summer heat. You might be anxious to get down to the lake, go swimming, grill zucchini and eggplant, slice tomatoes fresh off the vine, take a hike, sleep outside, sleep in, wake up early -- whatever it is that moves you in the summertime. You might be impatient for the rain to end, for the temperatures to climb up out of the 50's and 60's, for clear sunny days.
But at the risk of sounding like your grandmother, I'll just say that it's all part of the cycle, and we must be patient. It'll be summer soon enough. For now, enjoy the lush greenness and the quiet that comes with rain.
